We provide a beautiful and comfortable environment in which holiday makers can absorb the therapeutic qualities of being 'by the seaside'. The stunning beach views and glorious sunsets will forever be etched into your memory.
The GEMS Seaside Lodge offers you a base from which to discover an abundance of local activities, from world class surfing at Shipwreck bay, cycling the iconic 90 mile beach, to exploration of the Dunes on buggies or on horseback. Chartered boat options or surf casting on the beach await the fishing enthusiast. More sedate activities, beyond the mandatory walks on the beach, include golf, visits to award-winning vineyards, and the enjoyment of local creative artists (pottery, weaving and wood-turning). Ahipara is a perfect base from which to explore further afield, with visits to Cape Reinga, the Bay of Islands, and the Hokianga, with their respective attractions.
Special conditions:
* Families with children over the age of 3 year old are welcome, however the responsibility for the supervision and care of children around the stream and beach are the sole responsibility of parents/caregivers.
* The cooking of curries and fish indoors is discouraged due to their strong, lingering odours.
* No smoking inside the Apartment please
